Irene Bowron, the wife of Los Angeles Mayor Fletcher Bowron, at the centennial celebration commemorating the first raising of the American flag in Los Angeles. Twenty-five thousand people attended the event held on the steps of Los Angeles City Hall. Photograph dated August 13, 1946.
