Description
Photograph of a group of about 50 Yuma Indian girls and their teacher posing in front of the girls' dormitory at the Indian School at Yuma, ca.1900. They are arranged sitting and standing according to height in about 5 rows. They all wear dresses of the same design -- a dotted print. The school is a two story wooden structure with a wraparound porch on both floors. There is a ladder from the balcony to the roof. A smaller building stands at right in the background.
