Description
Panoramic view of the 15-acre grounds of the Krotona Institute of Theosophy, built in Hollywood below the Hollywood sign and north of Franklin Avenue, west of Beachwood Canyon. It was constructed between 1912 and 1919 by Alfred Powell Warrington for the Krotona Colony. The domed building is the Grand Temple of the Rosy Cross. Other structures served as meeting rooms, administration facilities and residences for Theosophy students.
