Exterior of Mission San Buenaventura. Back of postcard reads: 'Founded 1782, Ventura, California. Looking out over the broad Pacific, and center of an agricultural empire which had its beginnings when Indians planted orchards and vineyards under patient Padres' direction, the mission is today famous for its wooden bells, 'Matrimonial Chair' and fine museum.' An official California Mission Trails Association card.
