Photograph caption dated March 14, 1989 reads, "Paramedics treat Dodge van's driver for cuts on her right arm and neck pain, and her passenger, who suffered a 7-inch cut on her left shin. The driver of the VW and his passenger were treated at the scene." The accident occurred at Imperial Highway and Main Street in South Central Los Angeles when a Dodge van hit a Volkswagen bus driven by a 65-year-old man making an illegal left turn in the intersection at 8:50 a.m. yesterday. Both vehicles flipped over.
