Photograph caption dated May 3, 1980 reads, "Spectators at the Custom Car, Rod, Boat and Motorcycle Show examine the California Commuter, which Aerovisions Inc. claims is capable of achieving 155 miles per gallon. The automakers say the car, displayed at the Los Angeles Sports Arena yesterday, has averged [sp] 178 mpg at a constant 55 miles per hour. The car seats one, weighs 400 pounds and runs on premium gas."
