Photograph caption dated December 29, 1961 reads, "Kay McFarlin, Burbank High School student, 459 Cornell St., gets some aid from Helen Gonzales, Providence High School student, 1730 N. Buena Vista St., in dressing for their ride on Burbank's 1962 entry in the Tournament of Roses parade. In the background: Candi Rogers, Burroughs High School student. The three girls, all 17 and seniors, were selected by fellow students to represent their respective schools on the float."
