Description
Oil operators are going in, wells are going down, derricks are going up and houses are being moved out at Inglewood, for the oil rush is on. The Blinn-Harlan and Getty No. 1 wells have struck oil. Associated Oil Co. crews rush work on a steel derrick and installing boilers for a well to offset the Blinn-Harlan discovery hole. Photo shows five men working aloft in the skeleton of a derrick (background). Dated September 24, 1929.
