Description
Texas. Encircled T. Made in USA. Small metal toy gun with gold paint. Die-cast single-shot cap gun. Trigger and hammer move, no other moving parts. Steer image used by Hubley. Apparently rare. Hubley was founded in 1894 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by John Hubley. Their first toys were manufactured on 1909 from cast iron. About 1940, they changed their primary casting material to zinc alloy. Originally, artists would carve models from wood for sand casting. Hubley is most well known for their kits to build '30s cars, though their cap guns are highly sought by collectors.
