Photograph caption dated November 26, 1956 reads, "Children take last romp on grounds of 41-year-old Saticoy Street School at 12855 Saticoy St., North Hollywood, oldest elementary school in Valley. Plant was abandoned today as youngsters took up classes in new Saticoy Street School nearby. Old plant was long center of heated controversy. Parents wanted more space to eliminate half-day sessions."
