This is the fourteenth track of an interview series with Peter Drucker on innovation and entrepreneurship. Drucker interviews Andrew S. Grove, president of Intel Corporation. Grove advises young people starting a new business to set aside ego and put the interests of the enterprise first. He goes on to describe Intel’s development, such as initially hiring people with experience for specific jobs, being market driven and willing to abandon one of its original concepts, and systematically reviewing performance. He also discusses the development of management courses, which emerged from workers requesting training programs.
