Photograph of an exterior view of Colonel Purcell's old adobe house in San Gabriel, June 4, 1930. The two-story building can be seen at center. A covered porch wraps around the entire building, and ivy can be seen growing up the supporting columns. The roof is covered with wooden shingles, and dormer windows can be seen projecting out from the roof. Two brick chimneys are visible as well. Several trees can be seen in front of and behind the house.
