Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the West Side Grammar School in Redding, [s.d.]. The West Side Grammar School, a two-story brick building constructed in the regency style of architecture, sits at center, topped by a cupola and a large American flag. The building is symmetrical, with two rows of paned windows, two brick chimneys, and a pediment and balcony over the entryway, supported by simple columns, that protrude over a short flight of stairs. A man stands on the cupola, leaning on the flagpole, while other people stand in the grassy schoolyard in front of the building and on its steps. A fence can be seen in the left background, while a small building is visible at right.
