Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated January 16, 1961 reads, "Tony Dow, the Van Nuys teenager who co-stars on TV's 'Leave It To Beaver,' and Shelley Fabares, the teen daughter on 'The Donna Reed Show,' proudly show off the Teen Star Awards presented them by Chuck 'The Rifleman' Connors, representing the Spotlighters. At a dinner at the Sportsmen's Lodge in North Hollywood these awards, first of their kind, were given to these young stars who, the judges felt, best personified 'All that is best in American youth.' The Spotlighters is a club of show people existing primarily to help the San Fernando Valley Youth Foundation."
