Description
Khaki-clad soldiers of the regiment are pictured waving from the train on December 26, 1939, as they started off to the war. They waved good-by to loved ones and sang "Pomona, Here We Come" to the tune of "Tipperary." Twelve Pacific Electric special trains carried the men to the County Fair Grounds for the drill.
