Description
Photograph of The Arch at Stanford University, ca.1900. A muddy road emerges from the foreground and turns left just in front of the tall, lightly-colored stone arch at center. The top portion of the arch has a carving that depicts many people in a row. A short fence stands at the top of a staircase in front of the arch while corridors extend from either side with archways lining their walls. More corridors can be seen in the back through the opening of the arch and the right wall of a building stands on the far left.
