Photograph caption dated April 1, 1965 reads "Taft High's Lee Shalon is shown working out for tomorrow's crucial West Valley League track meet with Birmingham. Shalon is Taft's 'big man' in the sprints. Most of his competition in the 100-yard dash will come from Birmingham's Ken Thompson. This meet should decide the West Valley title." Taft High School is in Woodland Hills.
