Microfilm of a diary kept by Moses Farnsworth during his British mission from 1862-1864. The diary opens with a detailed account of his travels from Salt Lake City to New York and sailing to Liverpool. The rest of the diary recounts his mission work and attendance of church conferences, primarily in Sunderland, Newcastle, and Dudley. At the back of the volume is a list of mission fund contributors. Moses Franklin Farnsworth (1834-1906) was born in Edinburgh, Indiana. He moved to Salt Lake City and was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1854. He served in the Walker War and as a first lieutenant in the Nauvoo Legion. He served on two British missions, including one from 1862-1864. Farnsworth helped settle Kanab, Utah, and was recorder at the St. George and Manti Temples. He died in Manti in 1906.
