Photograph shows radio DJ and TV personality Jim Hawthorne's children Dana, Darr, and Deone boarding a school bus. Darr carries a record album titled "Music from Disneyland" (1955, Jack Pleis and his Orchestra and Chorus). Hawthorne was a disc jockey at the radio station KXLA in Pasadena and was a pioneer in freeform, non-traditional radio broadcasting. He was the honorary mayor of Studio City from 1950-1955.; See images #00124880 through #00124884 for all photos in this series.
