Description
Turner Dynamic microphone Model 9D, serial 12216, ohms H1. Steel with art deco fluting. Long neck mounted on a 6-sided base with round ring projecting from two front ends of base. Long rubber covered cord ends in jack/adapter. According to a Turner Company catalog that appears to date from the 1940s, the 9D was part of the Turner Han-D line of vari-purpose mikes, and could be used for hanging mikes, stage work, and call systems. It could also be mounted on a desk stand. The Dynamic mike (as opposed to Crystal mike) was especially suited for bad climate, intense heat and rough conditions.
