Description
Walter Keen and Blanche (Keen) Seppi, brother and sister, came to Whittier with their family in 1897. They settled on a 10 acre ranch in South Whittier. Their father, Scott Keen, had his own grading business and it is estimated that he graded 85% of the roads in Whittier. Walter Keen also went into the grading business. Mrs. Seppi married Joseph Seppi who worked as a civil engineer in the Whittier/La Habra area. They discuss growing up Quaker and daily life in Whittier. They mention the growth of the city and development of Rose Hills Memorial Park. Interviewer is LoVerne Morris with Ed Perry.
