View of a street with buildings on each side; a car is crossing from the left to the right and a pedestrian walks toward the right side; on left of street is a tall building cut off with 4 stories visible; to its right is a small 2 story building and further down block another 3 story building; in center is a railroad crossing sign and on right a large leafless tree; on right side of street are more building; in middle of block is a low buildings with large round-arched openings.
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
