Photograph article dated April 5, 1960 partially reads, "Valley College faculty has elected Dr. Arnold C. Fletcher as its new association president for the coming year. He has taught history and journalism at Valley College for seven years and is also a member of the Athenaeum committee... At present Dr. Fletcher is considered as one of the outstanding authorities on Afghanistan and Pakistan anthropology. Before becoming a teacher he served as a foreign correspondent and worked as a journalist for the Oregonian. He also is the author of the book, 'Living World History.' Dr. Fletcher is a graduate of the University of Southern California."
