Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Original photograph has several stains.
Photograph caption dated November 23, 1956 reads "Malcolm McIrvine, estranged husband of Mrs. Julia Rae McIrvine, leaves apartment house in Van Nuys with police officer L. K. Tyndall after visiting apartment where she allegedly shot her 10-year-old son to death and then took her own life in holiday tragedy. Police found refrigerator filled with Thanksgiving Day trimmings." The woman in the photo is unidentified.
