Title supplied by cataloger. Photograph caption reads: "Now in use by the CHP, this Ford Mustang is capable of reaching speeds of 140 mph. It is one of 15 new low profile cars the Patrol is using to catch truckers who ignore the speed limit, change lanes unsafely and tailgate. Car is a solid white and the only official markings on it are CHP star and logo on the doors. Shotgun and lock up are not visible to other drivers and no lightbar is installed. Thus the automobile is not readily identifyable as a patrol car. CHP officials say they daily are inundated with citizens' complaints againt the manner trucks are driven on public highways. Officials said that of all vehicle accidents on the highways trucking accidents usually have the most severe reprocussions". Photograph dated: Jan. 8, 1987.
