Photograph article dated October 19, 1950 partially reads, "The battle of ABC's began today in San Fernando Valley and throughout greater Los Angeles. The Citizens' Schools Committee, a non-profit corporation organized to promote reform in the 'progressive' educational system, announced the election of Mrs. Zona Gale Bell, 9054 Cedros Ave., Van Nuys, on the executive board and appointments in the Valley Division were as follows: Chairman, Mrs. William R. Roberts, 10538 O'Melveny Ave., Pacoima; vice chairman, Mrs. Leslie Raddatz, 9035 Cedros St., Van Nuys; secretary, Mrs. Walter Collins, 8848 Ilex St., Sun Valley, and treasurer, Mrs. Virgil Thomas, 15004 Nordhoff St., Sepulveda."
