Description
The recording begins with Asian Media broadcasting portions of the Sansei Women's Forum that took place at the Pine Methodist Church in San Francisco on October 4th, 1974. The Asian Women's Forum was sponsored by the San Francisco Center for Japanese American Studies. Then were was a short radio program educating about "Project Safer California" which was created by California governor Ronald Reagan; mentioning the project's overall goals and how it targets youth from ghetto and barrios. It includes recordings of Edwin Miller (district attorney of San Diego), Edward Davis (Los Angeles Police Chief), Reverend Ed Henry, and Keith Sorenson (district attorney of San Mateo). Finally the last portion of the recording is a recorded episode of the Dick Cavett Show, with guests George Meany (president of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations) and economist John Kenneth Galbraith.
