Photograph shows a class portrait at the Cherokee School. The Cherokee School District was established August 10, 1861 when it was set apart from the Oregon City School District. This was probably the first Cherokee School with the picture being taken in 1865. Cherokee is now a part of Golden Feather Union School District. Cherokee School (Cherokee, Calif.)
