"Miss. Nygaards grav Fihasinana" ("Missionary Nygaard's grave Fihasinana"). Joergen Tollefsen Nygaard was a missionary in Madagascar from 1869-1893. He married Hanna, maiden name Pedersen, in Masinandraina on December 10, 1871. Picture is signed F.Bj. as also some of the following pictures in the album. Stands for Fredrik Bjertnes. The two other graves are Rakel Bogine Hansen, born Sønneland and Emilie Marie Rustad born Tegneby. Three missionary kids are also buried here. The scripture Nygard on the picture is not the original on the grave but has been added direcly on the print with a pen by someone.
