Photograph caption dated December 7, 1929 reads, "That efficient organization of young men, who call themselves "The Poly Knights" and render "peace and order" duty at Polytechnic high school, stepped out of character last night and appeared in the role of ushers and attendants at The Evening Herald's oratorical contest. Members of the organization pictured below are, left to right, Boyd Hanson, Kenneth Hiller, James Keller, Newton Alden jr. the "knights" are sponsored by Principal W. A. Dunn."
