Here is the switch of the burglar alarm system at the Garment Capitol building, sparks from which may have ignited the gas, according to theory. Arrow shows the handle set at "on." Investigators say they were informed that the alarm was shut off by pulling a plug instead of throwing the switch. A spark jumped and the explosion resulted, they believe. Photo dated: Oct. 28, 1930.
