Description
Photograph was edited for publication purposes.
Photograph caption dated March 21, 1961 reads "Valley College's tennis team is the talk of the college net world today, probably the strongest coach Mark Mathews ever had at the school. These aces, and Chuck Rombeau, did the unprecedented last week when the Monarch [sic] walloped Santa Monica, 9 to 0, the latter's first loss in 67 straight meets. From left, the Lions are Nick Breit, Larry Pope and Benny Inez, the sometimes unsung members of the team." The college is in Van Nuys.
