Photograph caption dated November 16, 1953 partially reads, "Outstanding phase of youth program of the San Fernando 'Y' is Y Indian Guide tribes with purpose of building close comradeship between father and son. Group of adults above includes Don Smith, Eagle Feather, (medicine man); Jerry Bandy, Big Rooster, (wampum Beaver); Jack Nash, Big Buffalo, (Big Chief); Del Walters, Big Horn, (Talley Keeper); Del Wood, Big Running Rabbit (Medicine Man). Sons, front are Bill Smith, Buck Bandy, Richard Walters and Norman Wood. The fathers are officers of the San Fernando Y Indian Guide Nations and represent...tribes in the San Fernando, Pacoima, and Granada Hills area."
