Description
Photograph of aerial view of the exterior American Can Company, ca.1930. At left, a group of two long buildings line the border of a small field full of trees. The small one-story buildings have several vents as seen on their roofs. A line of rectangular cargo boxes its outside the doors of the building. At center, a group of larger buildings are visible. A large water tower is seen behind these buildings. Several large pipes extend from the building located in the center, and two small patches of lawn sit adjacent to the small building next to the road. The road lined with utility poles moves from the right to the bottom-center of the image. Across the road on the right, six small identical buildings with pitched roofs can be seen. In the foreground at the bottom-left, a small group of buildings can be seen in a desolate parking lot. The parking lot sits adjacent to the road, while the field full of trees surrounds it on all other sides. In the extreme background of the image, various other buildings and trees can be seen sitting next to a distant road.
