Description
Photograph of a Sloop sailing past a lighthouse at the San Pedro breakwater, 1929. The sailboat lies in the center of the image, bearing the markings "6/8" on its mast, and carrying three people. In the background to the left sits a white lighthouse surrounded by a pile of rubble. In the leftmost corner stands a metal tower structure with chords that sling from its pointed tip to a corner of the lighthouse. A stone walkway paves the way between the tower and the lighthouse. Background is neutral. The photograph appears to have been edited, covered in markings that perhaps indicate that it was used in a promotional publication. Cropping and pencil marks are visible in the center and right side of the photo.
