Hillside along the highway north of Redding near Baird, Shasta County with a dense brush cover and scattered trees of Digger, Knobcone and Yellow Pines. Sheep men are anxious to see this type of country burned off to increase sheep feed. This area has been leased for grazing for several years at 4 cents per acre but brush is so dense that sheep cannot get through. 1925
