This was the seventh mission in the California chain. Named for Saint John of Capistrano, Italy, a fourteenth century theologian. Many of the buildings within the mission have been restored over the decades. The Great Stone Church was never restored, but seismic retrofit of the ruins has been completed. This image has a yellow border and is mounted on a gray card. Scanned with Microtek Scanmaker 1000XL Pro; as a 600 dpi TIFF image in 24-bit RGB color.
