John Lee Liar was born on July 1, 1894 in Renfro Valley, Kentucky. He was a country music entrepreneur and folklorist. During World War I he was assigned to produce musical shows for servicemen. In 1927 he joined Chicago radio station WLS and in 1937 he joined WLW in Cincinnati. He died November 12, 1985 in Lexington, Kentucky.; James "Haven" Lamont Gillespie was born on February 6, 1888 in Covington, Kentucky. He was an American composer and lyricist. He was the writer of "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" as well as "You Go to My Head." He died on March 14, 1975. Photograph caption dated July 13, 1950 reads "Lyricist Haven Gillespie's friendship with Lee Wood dates way back to their boyhood in Covington, Kentucky. So now that Lee's got a TV show it's only natural that the tunesmith be his guest. He'll appear with Lee on 'Lee's Lair' tonight at 7, KTSL."
