Description: Exterior view of the Spanish Baroque style West Coast Westlake Theatre, located at 638 South Alvarado Street. Designed by Richard M. Bates, Jr. The marquee reads, “Grand premiere opening. Wednesday, September, 22. Stars! Lights! ‘A Night of Nights’ Stars! Lights!” Typed on the verso is, “Exterior View of the new $750,000 West Coast Westlake Theatre, which is to be formally opened and dedicated on Wednesday, Sept. 22.” Photograph date stamped September 21. 1926.
