Photograph caption dated March 27, 1962 reads, "Sparring for top position in their campaign to support the San Fernando Valley Youth Foundation are Hal Baylor, president of the Spotlighters, and Mrs. J. Vinton Scott, president of Les Gardiennes. Both groups are affiliated with the foundation and have raised more than $5,000 for the operation of the foundation's Teen Center and a program of leisure-time activities for Valley youths. The foundation is an autonomous, non-profit organization."
