The shaded bed at right fall sown 1923. Sand shaker and pressing board at Prof. Perry's feet. Shaker is 18" x 30" with single handle. Red pine seed is covered with sand from pit mixed with charcoal 2-1. Compost is used for covering when weather is dry enough so that damping off is not bad
