This project was supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian. Made accessible through a grant from the John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes Foundation and Photo Friends.
Original print is damaged. Photograph caption dated December 10, 1955 reads, "Wayne Bowen, right, general manager of Roche's Inc., the Valley's first Continental-Lincoln-Mercury dealer in North Hollywood, beams his approval at selection of the new larger Roche's used car lot at 4640 Lankershim Blvd. Ray Means, used car manager, tests one of the Safe-Buy used cars. Opening of the new lot was necessitated because of the continually-growing sale of 1956 Mercurys, according to Bowen."
