Title supplied by cataloger. Photographer's caption reads, "I visited the 148 vertiginous steps between Westshire and Hollyridge Drives, constructed as part of the original Hollywoodland subdivision. It's the exact spot where the zombie townspeople of "Santa Mira" pursue Dana Wynter and Kevin McCarthy in the final minutes of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. The townspeople are icily conformist duplicates spawned by space-borne pods, perfect imposters who kill and replace their human victims. "They're taking you over cell for cell, atom for atom," says a zombie character. "Tomorrow you'll be one of us. There's no need for love... Love. Desire. Ambition. Faith. Without them life is so simple, believe me." From the steps you look out across the multi-million dollar mansions of the Hollywood Hills."
