Description
Story on Lou's Village and Frank Muller in unknown magazine (possibly BIN Merchandiser). Includes typed draft with notes. Muller poses with live lobsters in the feature image. "Some time back my wife, Gloria, and I made a visit to the East, where I learned of this jetliner delivery service, which brings yesterday's catch to my restaurant today. Over the years I have been asked repeatedly to make these delicacies available to my customers; however, the shipping problem seemed to be insurmountable. Now this jet express service makes it possible to offer customers of Lou's Village the same eastern seafood available at the finest restaurants in Boston, New York or Washington, D.C." Image captions: 1) "Fresh Main Lobsters," could be Frank Muller's cry in front of his restaurant in San Jose 2) A familiar sight at 1645 W. San Carlos in San Jose. Available parking goes entirely around the restaurant. 3) Sue Santoro (right), sister of the late Lou Santoro, is Frank Muller's "right arm" and hostess in the restaurant. She is shown with waitress Kay Wilson. 4) "Now this is fit for a King," says Muller (left) as he looks over some of the delicacies in the kitchen offered by Bob Leonetti. 5) The cellar of the restaurant looks like the warehouse for a retail store. Here, Muller looks over some of the brands available and checks his needs at the same time. 6) Bartender John Lansaveccia advires some of the nautical decorations in teh cocktail lounge of the restaurant. Lansaveccia, who was featured in Building Bar Business of the February BIN Merchandiser, has been with Lou's Village for nearly seven years.
