Upstream view of Bouquet Reservoir, said to be the largest and most modern earth-fill dam in the United States, constructed by the Department of Water and Power at a cost of $3,000,000. When filled it will hold 12,000,000,000 gallons of water, to furnish additional electric power and add to the water storage supply of Los Angeles. A single pipe conducts water to and from its reservoir. It is part of the Los Angeles Aqueduct system. Photo date: March 27, 1934.
