Description
This circa 1948 photograph captures an awards ceremony at Edmonds Field, located at Riverside and Broadway. Edmonds served as the home of the Sacramento Solons baseball club from 1944 to 1960. The field originally was named Buffalo Park in 1910, after the Buffalo Brewing Company, and was known as Moreing Field until the late 1940s.
