Photograph caption dated September 23, 1959 reads, "Dying yard - Hackers of wet bricks remain in outdoor drying yard where they stay for 30 days under fiber paper wraps which permit drying at normal speed and protects them from wind and rain damage. Brick piles are on wooden stilt-like lifts which raise them above ground to protect them from earth dampness. From drying yard bricks are taken to a kiln-bed area where they are placed in arches to be fired for a three-day period."; See images #00114368 through #00114374 for all photos in this series.
