Photograph caption dated 1961 reads, "Mrs. Florence L. Saunders, 23, of Van Nuys, answers questions of Det. Sgts. Fred Monroe, left, and Al Ortiz before she was arraigned in Van Nuys Municipal Court on charge of assault with intent to commit murder. Mother of two children, she was arrested Sunday after husband, Raymond, 34, was shot during quarrel. Her preliminary hearing was set for 1:30 p.m. Aug. 6 in Division 45. She's in jail in lieu of $5,000 bail."
