Description
Studebaker House. 409 W. Hillcrest Blvd. Orange groves still stretched behind it. Merle Little, who donated the picture, had married the granddaughter of Col. Baker. Col. Baker and his wife Sarah bought it in the late 1890's from J.M. Studebaker. The house was later inherited by Edna and C.H. Price (Edna was one of the two adopted daughters of Col. & Mrs. Baker) Note: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Studebaker -- re if JM is John Mohler, who had qualms about the family business building miliatry equipment and wanted to farm
