The piece displays two missionary fathers having recently come to shore with seven indigenous men and boys. They make a fire on the shore as night falls. The back of the postcard is blank and contains the name of the mission exhibition where the diorama was displayed--"Exposition de Vincences (1931)--and printed information about the publisher: "Aidez le MISSIONS des PERES du St-ESPRIT - Abonnez vous a leurs "ANNALES" 10 fr. - Pere Briault. C.C. 611-49, 30, Rue Lhomond, Paris (5e)." The back also contains information about the printer: "Dillen et Cie, Heliograv. 23, rue Oudinot - Paris.
